The Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), its US branch, the American Montessori Society (AMS) and their joint Montessori Public Policy Initiative (MPPI) are preparing the first US National Montessori Curriculum. It is the first time the leading Montessori organisations have written one curriculum together; it will set out the principles and practice of a fully implemented Montessori programme. The first part, covering birth to age six, is due in late 2026 and will be free to read on the MPPI website. Source: Montessori Public Policy Initiative (MPPI)

- Russia's national Montessori conference to meet at MPGU on 6–7 November
The Montessori Fund, AMI's affiliated society in Russia, and the Maria Montessori Pedagogy Centre of Moscow Pedagogical State University (MPGU) are holding the 14th All-Russian Montessori conference, on how a Montessori school can work within Russian education, how to run it and which standards to follow. It takes place on 6–7 November in Moscow, at MPGU on Vernadsky Avenue, in person and online. Both days cost RUB 5,000 if paid by 20 October, online participation half that, with discounts for several participants from one school or family. The Fund takes applications at ami.montessori.russia@yandex.ru. Source: Montessori Fund (Фонд Монтессори) - St Petersburg Montessori Readings set for 26–28 November
The International Institute of Montessori Pedagogy and the Interregional Montessori Association are preparing their annual conference, the St Petersburg Montessori Readings, for 26–28 November. The main topic is what and how a Montessori school teaches children aged 6–12; teachers of other age levels are invited too, to discuss the transitions between them. Planned fees range from RUB 5,000 for one day to RUB 12,000 for all three. Whether the conference goes ahead this year depends on demand, so the organisers ask those interested to answer a short survey linked in their post.
